Like it or not the holiday season swings into gear – today!  Can we please go back to calling it Sparkle Season?  Celebrate light up night downtown this evening or at one of the many other light-up-night-like events around Western, Pa in the month of November.  Share your photos with us by using the hashtag #lunPGH.

PS – I didn’t get a chance to mention it on air this morning but be sure to check out the Yelp Helps Event on Monday, November 19 – the Yelp Pittsburgh crew throws a great party with lots of tasty snacks and this is a great way to learn about some of Pittsburghs amazing non-profit organizations and how you can get move involved in volunteering with them.

East End Book Exchange Grand Opening

  • The East End Book Exchange is a new book store opening on Liberty Avenue in Bloomfield
  • Will be selling used books and new books by local Pittsburgh authors

Last weekend for the Three Rivers Film Festival

  • 2 showings daily at The Harris Theater downtown, The Regent Square Theater and the Filmmakers Theater in Oakland
  • Saturday – showing of The Overcoat, a silent film with a live orchestra at Regent Square
