Neighborhood with Heart, Celebrates with Art – Polish Hill Arts Festival – Sun. July 17

Polish Hill is a neighborhood in Pittsburgh, that according to Wikipedia is only .25 square miles large, while it may be geographically small, this neighborhood had a big heart.

We are happy that the Polish Hill Civic Association does an amazing job of updating resident of Polish Hill and Pittsburgh on neighborhood happenings and important civic info via their appropiatly named blog – Blogski.

Art out of the Box, which brings artists into four Pittsburgh-area neighborhoods to make work, is sponsoring Deanna Mance in Polish Hill.

Art Out of the Box mobile art studio opens into an all-inclusive artist studio space.   One artist, per 5 different city neighborhoods, will create an original piece of visual art work from beginning to end within a one-week residency.

give-and-take is a community-based project that is developing services, activities and events to circulate pre-loved clothing throughout the local area. Along the way we share ideas and thoughts on how to re-use, repurpose and rethink the clothes that pass through our hands.
