We’re back with our semi weekly Friday morning segment on WDVE – here are our picks for this weekend.  We can’t say enough about the Pittsburgh Glass Center – check out the video from their football themed glass event last Friday here.  Also – make sure you sign up to be a beta tester for Wawadoo – which is a great new start up here in Pittsburgh that is building an events suggestion website to answer the question What do you want to do.

Friday Fest in the Strip  (Link to Facebook Event)

  • Head on down to Right By Nature, Smallman Street in the Strip District to enjoy some free and Valentine’s Day tastings
  • East End Brewing will be there for a tasting of their Chocolate Cherry Stout (which I can attest is amazing)

Screening of The Ride

  • Film about Phil Keoghan, the host of The Amazing Race, left Los Angeles on his bike headed for New York
  • Friday, February 11, 2011 – 7:30-9:30pm
  • Benefits the National MS Society

Make and Take at Pittsburgh Glass Center

  • Friday February 11, 2011 5-10pm @ The Pittsburgh Glass Center on Penn Ave
  • Make your own glass valentine –  flower, heart or glass pendant ($25 per valentine)
  • Suitable for kids 10 and up

4Lydia Opening at Wildcard

  • 4Lydia is a miniature, Pittsburgh inspired space nation built by artist Ryder Henry
  • Opening reception  for the exhibit is Friday, February 11, 2010 at Wildcard on Butler Street in Lawrenceville
