- Plans for a new sustainable cafe in Homewood – Construction scheduled to start in August. The building will be powered by a geothermal energy system. - New program from Sprout Found supports biodiversity projects – The Sproud Fund – which has supports lots of interesting, fun and innovative projects in Pittsburgh is launching Spring – a new program to support biodiverstiy projects. The Sprout Fund Seed Award (I am a committee member for the Seed Award) supports all kinds of projects – you don't need to be a non-profit or a business to get a grant. If you have an idea – talk to Sprout to see if your project might be a good fit for a grant. (via PopCity)
