My Tale of Two Cities Screening to Benefit Sewickly Public Library
  • Check out Carl Kurlander‘s documentary about moving back to Pittsburgh. The film will be screened at the Santa Fe Film Festival in December. See it here in Pittsburgh this weekend.
  • Friday, November 13, 2009, 7pm Sewlickly Public Library
The Nina and The Pinta make a pilgrimage to Pittsburgh
  • Take a tour of the life size replicas of the Nina and the Pinta that are docked next to Heinz Field
  • Tours daily 9am-4pm until Nov. 15, Tickets are $7
German Christmas Market at the Harmony Museum
  • Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 14 & 15) in historic downtown Harmony, PA (30 min north of Pittsburgh on 79N)
  • modeled after a traditional German Christmas Market
  • Gifts, food and a visit from Father Christmas
Oakmont is Alive with the Sound of Music
  • This weekend – Sound of Music is playing at The Oaks theater in Oakmont
  • Saturday, November 14 – Cinebrunch -$10 gets you brunch and a movie ticket

  • Pittsburgh’s Cartoon Musuem moves to its new home on Liberty Ave. Downtown
  • Stop by and check out the exhibit celebrating 100 years of animation
Michael B’s Barber Shop – Cuts Around the Clock
  • Starting at 6pm, Friday, November 13 and running for 24 hours the Barber shop will be open for hair cuts
  • All proceeds benefit Outreach Teen and Family Services Inc.

Beer School – “Session Ales”
  • Tuesday, November 17, 2009, 6:15 pm
  • Theater at Cabaret Square
  • Co-hosted by award-winning beer writer, Lew Bryson (He wrote the book on Pennsylvania Breweries)
