Cave Canem’s annual faculty poetry reading will be held this Thursday, 7 pm, at the Hill House. This year’s readers will be Toi Derricotte, Yusef Komunyaka, Cornelius Eady, and Carl Phillips. If you have not made a trip downtown after dark I don’t know what you are waiting for. There is an AWESOME light display being projected on 5 different buildings downtown. The Creative Treehouse is having an open house. The Creative Treehouse is located in Bellevue and is a shared workspace for all sorts of creative types. Jesse Hambley is the brains behind this project. I first met Jesse last year at PodCamp and I now sit next to him every day as he just joined the marketing team at Spreadshirt. more
