Help Pittsburgh 6th Grader with a New Baseball Field

May 16, 2007 Lindsay

So I am just catching up on the IheartPGH emails and I was more than happy to read this one from Ellen M.

Hello I Heart PGH BLOG,
I am Ellen McCague and I’m a 6th grade Creative Writing Major at Rogers Middle School for the Creative and Performing Arts. I have just recently won the Pittsburgh Regional Briggs & Stratton Diamonds In The Rough. I am now going for national but I need votes.
Go to www.briggsdiamondsintherough.com and vote for Ellen M.
It takes 10 seconds. Go to the website, fill in the dot next to Ellen M., put in an e-mail address, and click submit! It would help so much.
Diamonds In The Rough is an essay contest which can help me get a new field for my school. I go to Roger CAPA but I play softball at Sunnyside Elementary which is on Stanton Ave. in Stanton Heights. If you could put this on your blog for everybody to see it would help so much.
Thanks So much again,
Ellen M.

Even though a kid from Rogers CAPA hit me with a projectile thrown from a school bus on Liberty Ave. while I was riding my scooter I think this girl's worth voting for.
After all it was just a grape. Still the kid should not have changed his story twice about what happened and the principal at Rogers should not have seen through his lies. It clear that he isn't a creative writing student.
