One fine city

April 30, 2007 Lindsay Leave a Comment

I just wanted to share this picture which sums of up Pittsburgh for me.

Last Thursday Pittsburgh was named THE most livable city. If you already live in Pittsburgh, you know that Pittsburgh is a great place to live and if you are reading this blog you know that I kind of have a thing for Pittsburgh. But it is nice to be recognized for being a great place to live by people who aren’t already living here.

So on Thursday I was lucky enough to attend a fund raiser for The League of Young Voters at an amazing house on Mt. Washington overlooking the city. To be able to sit there overlooking the most livable city and to support an amazing organization that is doing the real work of engaging citizens in their community was just too cool. You can learn more about the Pittsburgh League of Young Voters at http://pittsburgh.indyvoter.org. So yes, this picture not only shows Pittsburgh but also the best part of Pittsburgh, the passionate people that love it too.
